SAFE MLO Pre-licensing The NMLS-approved instructor-led Pre-licensing on-line course is flexible and convenient, allowing you to move easily through the lessons, activities, and practice exams. You'll also have easy access to your instructor and other students through discussion forums and other activities.
The Pre-licensing on-line course has specific start and end dates, but since there are no "scheduled" activities, you can participate when it's convenient for you. You can print off downloadable versions of reading assignments for offline reading and reference. And, all of your NMLS Banking fees are included!
NMLS Approved SAFE MLO Continuing Education OnlineThese courses are approved by the NMLS to fulfill the SAFE Act continuing education requirements. The online courses are flexible, convenient and easy to take with no hidden fees. Unlike other providers, your $1.50 per credit hour banking fee is included in the cost of the course!
Mortgage loan originators have to take 8 hours of continuing education by December 31 of each year. On a yearly basis, the SAFE Act calls for state-licensed MLOs to complete 3 hours of Federal law and code; 2 hours of ethics including training on fraud, fair lending, and consumer protection issues; 2 hours of training dealing with lending standards for the nontraditional mortgage product market; and 1 hour of instruction in an undefined topic (maybe state specific depending on your state).
